Will I be Lactose Intolerant In Heaven 40"h x 30"w

"If I am to sign up for this christian thing, I'm going to need to be promised painless ice cream in Heaven seeing as I cannot have it here on earth? I'm going to need someone to put that in writing". This came from a conversation I had while working for a church.

Jezebel 60"h x 48"w

2 Kings 9:30-37

30And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and arranged her hair, and looked out at a window.31And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?32And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.33And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.34And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.35And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.36Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:37And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

this painting is my depiction of Jezebel at the moment she was last recognizable before being eaten by the dogs. "she painted her face, and arranged her hair, and looked out at a window." -a heart, hardened against God, will brave it out to the last-

Go To Church and Fear God and Terrorists 60"h x 48"w

This large painting comes from a very recent and ongoing struggle between my internal and external religious conflict. Torn between what's considered orthodox and so called "liberal spirituality". This comes directly from the evil that is fear mongering in the church and society today. I don't support this trend of speed dealing ugliness and fear for the ultimate financial gain of your churches.

Freezer Sleepover 40"h x 24"w

This painting was inspired by something I had going on at the time. To be honest, I don't even remember what it was because the fact that my friend Heather entitled it the random "freezer sleepover" it took on a whole new life. I'm attached to this piece in a different way now that she's placed a new name on it.  It's origin was dark but now this piece makes me feel ironically warm.

Bjork Isn't My Girlfriend 16"h x 20"w

This is a humorous depiction of the reaction of such bad news as the fact that Bjork is indeed not your girlfriend. This painting was inspired by friend, Ross Anderson.

the difference between flirting and commitment 30"h x 24"w

This painting was inspired by a time in my life where I felt I was more committed to a relationship than my counterpart.  It's sort of speaks about when you take that step forward with someone but they don't. Not only do you get burned but you continue to get burned because you committed to the lighter. In this painting, she is in that perpetual state of love and agony because it is one sided.

Kristi's Surgery 40"h x 30"w

this was done while my cousin was going through some very serious back surgeries. This was created to help her feel better during her intense recovery

Kittenfox News 40"h x 30"w

This piece speaks about how we are slaves to mass media. It's that simple really.

Never Trust A Mutant Cat 20"h x 24"w

Random. I suppose my mom was the inspiration for this is an odd way. She was involved in the compilation of this madness. It's just the result of many different thoughts and phrases that made us both laugh together but it comes together quite nicely. The message it sends is much deeper than the lightheartedness that was behind creating this piece.

Embrace Your Grapule 11" x 14"

this piece was inspired by a conversation online with Christine Hendrick Smith and my feelings towards purple paint. I am donating this piece to a fund raiser for Houston's Last Organic Outpost on December 12th 2009 in Christine's name, although i have never met her.

Eli and Moishe 20"h x 24"w

This is my representation of what a believe Eli and Moishe looked like in the book series Left Behind. I loved their characters in those books.

Heather 20"h x 24"w

Heather was painted originally for friend of mine Heather Parsons and then was sold to a very convincing buyer haha. That happens sometimes. She really captures features I know Heather loves. I have rights to this piece, though, and often I will show it or have access to it for special occasions. This piece has been loved by many and my Heather Parsons wouldn't want it any other way.

Me and my brother American Gothic style 40"h x 30"w

This is a part of my personal collection. It's a painting of my brother and I in an absurd depiction of American Gothic. I painted this as a gift for my mother. I thought it came out pretty good. It hangs in her living room now. I like it. It's just sort of creepy and strange.

Charles and Amanda 20"h x 24"w

This was done of two friends of mine. I painted this one from a photo that I chose off of their website. I believe it truly captures that dynamics of their personalities when they are with one another.

Bella Baby 24"h x 20"w

Bella baby is the personality of the baby my friend is pregnant with now. This is a painting of her baby when she's older based upon how I feel she will turn out being that she will be raised by such dynamic and beautiful parents with a dash of attitude. I enjoyed putting the thought into this painting.

Caberet Beer Breath 24"h x 36"w

This painting was inspired by a screenshot from Moulin Rouge. I don't know why I was so drawn to it but I loved the way the girl was so uninterested while the man had that "I'm a badass" sort of expression. The title is supposed to express just the feeling of embarrassment anyone would feel for the guy if they understood how apathetic his girl really was to him.
